November 27, 2008, ‘Shanghai Nanhui-Lingang New City 2008 Investment Environment Presentation’ was held in Nanhui District authority offices Center, with ‘New City, New Industry, New Opportunity’ as its theme. The event was organized by Shanghai Lingang New City Management Committee, Shanghai Nanhui District Government and Shanghai Foreign Investment Promotion Center. Mr. Jianchen ZHANG, the Governor of Nanhui District, chaired the presentation.

Participating parties include the following: representatives of consulate general in Shanghai of Poland, Germany, Belgium and other countries; business representatives of foreign business organizations, associations and well-known financial institutions; representatives of more than 300 domestic and foreign companies and enterprises , including UPS, DHL and Sinotrans Logistics.
32 projects were signed with total investments up to 1.6 billion U.S. dollars, which include 17 foreign investment projects with nearly 700 million U.S. dollars investments; and 15 domestic-funded projects with 6.8 billion RMB investments, involving modern equipment manufacturing industry, pharmaceutical and medical equipment industry, modern service industry and many other leading industries.

Shanghai DAKS Science & Technology Development Co., Ltd. participated in the signing ceremony of cooperation projects with Shanghai Electric Xantrex Power Electronics Co., Ltd and High-tech Base (Shanghai) Machinery Industry Co., Ltd.
