GERMAN INDUSTRIAL PARK KANGQIAO is located in the southeast of Shanghai Pudong Kangqiao Industrial Zone.
Shanghai Pudong Kangqiao Industrial Zone was set up in May 1992, and was approved by Shanghai Municipal People’s Government as a municipal-level industrial zone in August 1994. With a projected area of 26.88 sq km, the zone has become an integration of industry, living, trade, business, management etc. After more than ten-year development, pillar-industries such as automobile equipment, new-style building materials, electronics, electrical appliances and real estate have been formed.
The favorable investment environment in the zone has attracted many investors from both home and abroad. Over the past decade, the zone has introduced more than 1600 projects of various kinds: 500 industrial projects with a total investment of RMB 14 billion Yuan; 200 “three kinds of foreign invested” projects with a total investment of US$ 1.5 billion. Many famous multinational enterprises have settled down in Kangqiao, as for example American General Motors, Ford Motors, British Pilkington Co., French Schneider Electrical Co., French Alsthom, Germany Volkswagen, Italian Maruili Co. and Inzermila Group, Australian BHP Co. and Taiwan Hongren Group, Asus, ASEI. Domestic large enterprises like FAW, Dongfeng Auto Group, and National Non-ferrous Metal Co., etc. have also settled down in Kangqiao.
